This is a Zoom class where we will be learning how to make this festive Christmas tree skirt from a layer cake or yardage. I will show you my preference for finishing the tree skirt with 3 button and loop closures instead of ties.

Fabric Requirement
1 layer cake, 1 FQ bundle or enough assortment for 42 -10” squares.

Lisa's was made using the Overnight Delivery Layer Cake from Moda

¾ yd binding (bias)

1 5/8 yard –wide backing or 3 ¼ yds 45” width backing

1 ½ yds 60” wide  fusible fleece (my preference), or  50” x 60” or Throw size batting of your choice

Notions Needed

Sewing machine with walking foot
Pins & clips
Rotary cutter and ruler
Microtex sharp needles recommended 80/12 or 90/14.
Lisa used Hex N More and SideKick rulers, however; you could use 60 Degree Diamond Ruler or cut your own templates out of 3 layers of freezer paper. Your choice
