Introduction
This is a Zoom class where we will be learning how to make this festive Christmas tree skirt from a layer cake or yardage. I will show you my preference for finishing the tree skirt with 3 button and loop closures instead of ties.
Fabric Requirement
1 layer cake, 1 FQ bundle or enough assortment for 42 -10” squares.
Lisa's was made using the Overnight Delivery Layer Cake from Moda
¾ yd binding (bias)
1 5/8 yard –wide backing or 3 ¼ yds 45” width backing
1 ½ yds 60” wide fusible fleece (my preference), or 50” x 60” or Throw size batting of your choice

Notions Needed
Sewing machine with walking foot
Pins & clips
Rotary cutter and ruler
Microtex sharp needles recommended 80/12 or 90/14.
Lisa used Hex N More and SideKick rulers, however; you could use 60 Degree Diamond Ruler or cut your own templates out of 3 layers of freezer paper. Your choice

Class Preparation
Cut a total of 60 assorted fabrics- (8 ½” - half hex from 30 – 10” squares. Use either Hex N More, 60* Diamond or make template.
Cut 12 template B (I used Sidekick) or use 60* Diamond or template
Cut 6 template C (I used Hex N More) or 60* Diamond or template
