Introduction:
During this class, you can choose to make the festive holiday door greeter -- Stack-o-Jacks.  This is a fun Zoom class using a fusible grid system to create your project.   Since this is an online class, you'll need to be able to access Zoom during your class.

Fabric Requirements:  An optional fabric kit is available -- just click here

If not using the kit, you'll need scraps or fat quarters of the following

5-8 assorted light oranges - #3 pumpkin
5-8 assorted medium oranges - #2 and #5 pumpkin
5-8 assorted deep oranges - #4 pumpkin
4 assorted lime greens - stems
3-5 assorted gray prints - owl
Purple print - owl hatband, cat eys
4 assorted blacks - hat, mouth
6 assorted whites - eyes, teeth
3-5 assorted charcoals - cat

5/8 yard for backing

Notions Needed
Pattern:  Stack-o-Jacks
5/8 yard fusible fleece
THREE Quiltsmart 1 1/2" grid panels
Rotary cutter --  check out our favorite here
Acrylic ruler & cutting mat
Regular sewing thread such as Masterpiece
Unique Stitch
Microtex sharp needles
Applique pressing sheet
Pins and clips (Wonder Clips available here)
Marking pen
Sewing machine -- we won't be using the machine in the first class
Walking foot
Large ironing service

Lisa labeled the stack of pumpkins with #1 being the top pumpkin and #5 being the bottom pumpkin

Cut the panel grid into 5 different sections according to the following directions. 

From the first panel, cut
#3 pumpkin: 
14 squares wide x 8 squares high
#2 pumpkin:  10 squares wide x 6 squares high
#1 pumpkin:    8 squares wide x 8 squares high

From the second panel, cut
#4 pumpkin: 
18 squares wide x 12 squares high

From the third panel, cut
#5 pumpkin:  22 squares wide x 11 squares high

Cut 1 3/8" squares of the following fabrics:

#1 Owl
13 blacks
  4 purples
18 whites
21 grays
  2 limes

#4 Pumpkin
  9 limes
20 whites
18 blacks
175 deep oranges


#2 Pumpkin
  55 medium oranges
    4 limes
    2 whites
    2 blacks


#5 Pumpkin
    3 limes
  26 whites
  21 blacks
  28 charcoals
    2 purples
187 medium oranges
#3 Pumpkin
  7 limes
10 whites

Refer to the Cutting & Assembly Guide inside the pattern to make half-square triangles.  You'll only get one half square triangle from two squares. 

Please attempt to make as many of these before the first class.  It's a lot so try to make enough for the #1 and #2 pumpkin half-square triangle combinations before the first class.
