Fabric Requirements:
1 Layer Cake or 36 assorted 10” squares (18 lights and 18 darks) -- Lisa used Postcard Christmas
Binding: ½ yard
Backing: 3 ½ yard
Batting: 60” square
3 – 1 1/8” buttons
Coordinating thread

                                 
Pattern & Notions:
Sewing machine
Walking foot
Pins & clips
Rotary cutter and ruler
Microtex sharp needles - Lisa recommends 80/12 or 90/14
Pattern (required):  Stars from Above by Creek Side Stitches

Class Preparation:

Please select from the layer cake pack, 18 lights and 18 darks. They will be paired together so there needs to contrast. Cut diagonally once for each of the 36 - 10” squares.

We will be focusing on the main block with is repeated to create this design. Lisa will make a handout to finish the skirt after it’s quilted. It will be emailed to you around class time.  It’s an easy technique that has become a favorite. It’s only an option, or use your favorite way to finish it. The pattern does not give any finishing instructions. We can have an additional class to finish if enough people are interested for an extra charge, so please let us know at the end of class if you'd like the finishing class.
